Notes from the Field July 5–11: Alaska King Salmon & Rainbow Trout Fishing — The Lodge at 58* North

What Happened This Week

This week was all about camaraderie. With three groups sharing the lodge, the evenings turned into their own kind of event — card games, easy laughter, and no shortage of good-natured ribbing around the table. The conversations ran long, and nobody seemed to mind.

🐻 Wildlife Sighting Bear viewing was outstanding this week, with sightings that had guests reaching for their cameras more than once.

🔥 Cozy Moment After dinner one evening, the group settled into a wide-ranging conversation about relationships — the kind of open, generous sharing that reminds you why people come back to the lodge year after year.
