Most of you know us for Alaska. For long summer days. Floatplanes. Big rivers. Big fish. Big meals. And a small lodge at the edge of the world. But did you know…
We also run a small winter steelhead lodge on the Oregon Coast?
And we’ve been doing it quietly since 2011. For many years, this place has booked entirely with returning guests, but this year we have a few rare openings between January and March. We realized many of our newer guests may not even know this operation exists.
While Alaska is our summer home, the Oregon Coast is where most of our core team comes together in the winter:
Kate, Justin, Gabe, Sofia and Jason (our head chef from Alaska)
Same people. Same obsession with details. Same care for guests. Just a different backdrop.

You do not need to be a seasoned steelheader to belong here. We welcome first-timers, fly anglers, gear anglers, couples, and solo travelers. Some guests come for fish. Some come for scenery and food. Most come back for all of it.
Winter on the north Oregon Coast is moody, green, wild, dramatic, and unbelievably beautiful. Storm systems roll in off the Pacific. Rivers swell and clear. Elk move through the valleys. Fog lifts off the water in the mornings.

Jason is also our winter chef in Oregon. This means deep, slow winter cooking, house-made everything, and zero shortcuts. These are sit-down dinners, thoughtful menus, and the kind of meals you talk about long after the trip ends.
Our Oregon steelhead lodge is small, intimate, private, and built for winter fishing and long evenings. Mornings start with coffee in storm light and end with shared dinners by the fire.
