We’ve had a rare cancellation and now have one open week in August, right after the sockeye begin to spawn!
It’s easily one of the best trout fishing weeks of the whole season, and coho salmon are swimming up the rivers, too! The bears are out and about, the bugs are minimal, and the river is dialed in. It’s the kind of week guides get excited about - and it seldom opens up.

If you've been dreaming about a week that captures the best of everything Bristol Bay has to offer, this is it. Whether you're coming for a trophy rainbow trout, memories with friends and family, or the chance to fish next to a brown bear (safely!), this is your window.
We're also sharing photos from this exact week in August 2024, so you can see just how incredible this time of year truly is—from the vibrant fish to the riverside bear sightings and everything in between.
This is the first week we start fishing our larger rivers like the Kvichak River for trophy rainbow trout. Small streams have rainbow trout locked onto sockeye eggs, dolly varden are stacked up and aggressive, and the first chrome-bright coho are pulsing into the river systems. Wildlife activity is peaking—bears are fattening up along the banks voraciously eating sockeye as they die after spawning, and long daylight hours make every moment count.

But the magic doesn’t stop on the water. Back at the lodge, we’ll treat you to exceptional meals crafted with care by our culinary team. Many of the ingredients come straight from our greenhouse - fresh herbs, lettuces, and vibrant vegetables grown with Bristol Bay sunshine and a whole lot of love. It’s gourmet, Alaska-style.
And when the day winds down, you’ll retreat to our cozy, well-appointed cabins—luxury in the middle of nowhere. Expect plush beds, private baths, spa-quality touches, and a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel at home (just a very remote, very well-fed version of home).
You’ll fly from your home city to Anchorage, Alaska, and then take a quick commercial flight to King Salmon (AKN). Once you land, our team will be waiting to greet you and drive you 15 minutes down the road to the lodge. From there, your Alaskan adventure begins.
This is a unicorn of a week—peak season, perfect conditions, and now a rare opening. We'd love to welcome you.
